Dani Pettrey’s Alaskan Courage has been blowing my blog feed up for quite some time. At first I thought it was just another fad that fades in and fades out and i quickly forgotten. But it just kept coming, every time a new book. What was it about this series that was keeping people so engrossed? So when Sabotaged came around I tackled that book like no one’s business. And guess what? I stayed up All. Night. Long. The book was that interesting. It’s part thriller, part mystery, part adventure and I loved it. And that’s saying a lot when you think about my dislike of contemporary fiction. If authors like Dani Pettrey keep writing awesome books I can just give up on making those dark circles under my eyes go away. Books before looks! There were some slightly mature elements but it was tactfully done and realistic. Dani tackles themes like injustice, trust and reforming of character (or lack thereof). If I didn’t have a stack of books that have deadlines right now I would go out an buy the entire series to read.
