Abandoned Memories

Abandoned MemoriesAngeline Moore is fleeing her painful past and for once in her life things are looking up; well, other than the fact that strange visions and demons from everyone’s pasts continue to haunt the settlers of the colony New Hope. Still Angeline no longer has to work in a degrading atmosphere to survive. And here she has friends. But all is about to come tumbling down. When a third evil entity is unleashed in the Brazilian jungle Angeline gets more than she bargained for. In a race against time Angeline must find peace with herself and her marred past and team up with her friends to stop greedy gold seekers from wrecking the world.

In the final book in the Escape to Paradise series MaryLu Tyndall gives readers the book they have been looking for since the release of Elusive Hope. Packed with action, drama, spiritual warfare and history it’s a book not to be missed. Especially not if you have already read the former books in this series. Really – one cannot read one of the first two books and just give up on the series. That just isn’t natural.

Compared to Elusive Hope I felt that Abandoned Memories didn’t measure up to its sisterbook. Somehow it felt lacking although the characters were still strong. There was perhaps a more mysterious element in the second book that kept one on the edge of the seat, so to speak, whereas in book three the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place (slowly though, mind you, very slowly) so the air of mystery dissipates and it becomes more of a mission to stop what is or is about to happen. That said, I still recommend the book.
